Fujimi TOKU - 002 1/700 IJN Battleship Kongo 1944 Sho Ichigo Operation [Standard Edition]

This 1/700 scale standard edition kit reproduces Kongo, the first Kongo-class battleship, as she appeared from Operation Sho-Ichi-Go in October 1944 through her final configuration.

- Late-war configuration with Type 21 and Type 22 radar on the bridge and Type 13 radar on the rear mast
- Additional anti-aircraft gun positions on the roofs of No.2 and No.3 main turrets
- Enlarged air defence command post
- Reduced searchlight installation and reinforced 25mm triple anti-aircraft armament
- Some secondary guns removed and their casemates closed, with 2 additional 12.7cm twin anti-aircraft guns fitted

- Bridge base moulded as a single part using slide moulding

- Main gun barrels feature open muzzles produced using slide moulding
